The Wheel Frame quilt block is ideal for moving on from half square triangles to adding in quarter square triangles for the central part of the block, which is a small four patch.

The quilt layout shown below on the left sets the blocks side by side in a standard setting with sashing strips to separate the blocks.

The quilt layout featured on the right uses and on point block setting with lots of additional pops of colour in the form of the blank blocks that add an extra design element and a place to show off your quilting designs.
