|BLOCKS by SIZE||9" Quilt Blocks|
There is no question that 12" quilt blocks are the most commonly used. But at times, you want to make a block that is a little smaller and uses easy math. Enter the 9 inch block -- not too big and not too small, but just fits the bill.
Sample Quilt Layouts
The Tulip Tracks quilt block is an easy choice to use to make up a quilt in no time to celebrate the spring season.
The quilt layout featured below on the left sets the blocks on point with lots of colour splashes, matching the colours of the "tulips" by way of extra blank blocks. The added bonus is that this also increases the size of your quilt without lots of extra work.
The quilt layout illustrated on the right also uses an on point block setting and separates the whole and half blocks with sashing strips. This produces a very different look with an overall geometric design. All in all, you can't go wrong with choosing this lovely, and simple quilt block for your quilt.
