BLOCKS by SIZE | 9" Quilt Blocks |
There is no question that 12" quilt blocks are the most commonly used. But at times, you want to make a block that is a little smaller and uses easy math. Enter the 9 inch block -- not too big and not too small, but just fits the bill.
Ts in a Ring
Free Quilt Block Pattern
There are many versions of "T" blocks. The Ts in a Ring quilt block uses four "Ts" and rotates them in each of the four quadrants of the block.
This quilt block is made only with squares and half square triangles, but in two different sizes. I have chosen to make this quilt block as a scrappy version in a "controlled" colour palette, using a variety of fabrics for the dark parts of each half square triangle.
When you construct this block as a four patch, you will be surprised at how quickly all the parts go together.
