The two sample quilt layouts shown below show the versatility of directional blocks and how there can be so many designs you can create by simple rotation of some or many of the blocks.

The quilt layout featured on the left sets the blocks side by side and separates them with sashing strips. The arrangement here creates a sort of "Xs and Os" final design.

The quilt layout illustrated on the right uses an on point setting of the blocks. By rotating several here and there, a new design results.
