The two sample quilt layouts shown below both use simple settings of the quilt block to fashion the quilt.

The quilt layout illustrated on the left utilizes a standard side by side block setting. By using sashing strips to separate the blocks, they appear to float and the extra sparkle in the quilt is from the tiny cornerstones within the sashing.

The quilt layout featured on the right enlarges each block by adding large corner triangles to each block. The careful placement of the colour of these triangles gives a whole different look to the final quilt.
