The two sample quilt layouts shown below are both very different, yet use only the one block design.

The quilt layout illustrated on the left sets the blocks side by side, thus creating an interesting, yet subtle, secondary pattern where the blocks touch.

The quilt layout featured on the right uses an on point block setting. The blocks are increased in size by adding large corner triangles to each. The careful colour arrangement of these large triangles adds extra pops of interest to the resultant quilt.
