The Sawtooth Ladder quilt block is a sort of enhanced version of the Sawtooth Star block.

Both of the quilt layouts illustrated below use an on point setting of the blocks and separate them with sashing strips. The quilt design featured on the left is created with a standard layout of the blocks, finishing with side setting triangles.

The quilt layout shown on the right enlarges each individual block with large corner triangles in alternating colours on opposite sides. This then adds an extra design element to your resultant quilt.
