The Sawtooth Ladder quilt block builds on the Sawtooth Star block, which is the focal point in the centre of the block. The Sawtooth Star is designed using flying geese patches and is often used as an introduction to these common patches when you are a beginner quilter. This centre block is then surrounded by large quarter square triangles to complete this design.
