|BLOCKS by SIZE||10" Quilt Blocks|
What could be easier, math-wise, than a quilt block in a 10 inch size? Surprisingly, the 10" block is not the most commonly used size, (that would be the 12" block), but there are still many quilt blocks that fit into this category and here is my list of currently available patterns.
The Saltwater Taffy quilt block is an ideal choice for a beginner quilter.
The quilt layouts featured below both use an on point setting of the quilt blocks for similar but subtle differences in the resultant quilts. The quilt design illustrated on the left uses fewer pieced blocks but incorporates a couple of colourful blank blocks in the centre of the quilt and more shots of colour along the edges of the quilt, for a sort of "colour blocking" effect.
The quilt layout shown on the right fills the quilt design with full and half blocks for a total overall design.
