The Ruins of Jericho quilt block is an easy design featuring only simple patches, and is one of many different biblical blocks available on this website.

The half square triangle patches are the only pieced units -- the first ones you will learn in your quiltmaking journey. Rectangles and squares finish out this design.

I almost forgot -- the centre pieced unit is called a square in a square patch -- one you will see over and over in quilt blocks.
