The Royal Star quilt block is a simple block to construct and makes for some stunning quilts.

The quilt layout shown below on the left sets whole and half blocks on point with some carefully placed blank blocks to create a striking design.

The quilt layout illustrated on the right also uses an on point block setting, but goes further with the blank blocks to add extra pops of eyecatching colour to enhance this quilt. The mitred border treatment is more added pizzazz.
