The Rocky Garden quilt block features flying geese patches and lots of half square triangles to fashion this lovely nine patch block.

The quilt layout shown below on the left features the blocks in a side by side setting. However, note that the blocks alternate with reversals of two of the fabrics in the placement in the blocks. This adds another element of design.

The quilt layout featured on the right sets blocks and half blocks on point, separated by sashing strips, for a totally different look.
