BLOCKS by SIZE 9" Quilt Blocks

There is no question that 12" quilt blocks are the most commonly used. But at times, you want to make a block that is a little smaller and uses easy math. Enter the 9 inch block -- not too big and not too small, but just fits the bill.

Sample Quilt Layouts

The Road to Grandma's quilt block is a nine patch design featuring lots of pieced patches for you to practice your skills.

The quilt layout illustrated below on the left sets the blocks on point with a variety of colourful, blank pieces to give it an extra splash of colour and a spot to showcase your quilting designs.

The quilt layout featured on the right uses a side by side block setting, separating the blocks with sashing strips for an additional design element and a totally different look than the quilt on the left.
