The Quack quilt block, a simple five patch design offers up lots of options for creativity in your quilt project.

The quilt layout featured below on the left sets the blocks on point and separates them with sashing strips. The addition of colourful, blank blocks gives a new element in the design as well as a spot to feature your quilting skills.

The quilt layout shown on the right also uses an on point setting of the blocks. Note how simply switching up the colour placement of the blank blocks makes a totally different quilt, all the while following similar steps in the design process.
