What could be easier, math-wise, than a quilt block in a 10 inch size? Surprisingly, the 10" block is not the most commonly used size, (that would be the 12" block), but there are still many quilt blocks that fit into this category and here is my list of currently available patterns.

I always wonder how quilt blocks get their names, and this Quack block is no exception -- its an interesting choice for sure. The good news is that this five patch design is an easy block to construct for a stunning end result.

The half square triangles are the only pieced patches so this sort of star block with a pinwheel central motif makes for a striking addition to your quilt.
