The quilt layout shown on the left uses a standard side by side setting of the Princess Charlotte blocks and the focus becomes the individual stars.

The on point setting of the blocks shown in the quilt layout on the right does also show the stars in the block. However, the placement of the background fabric as the blank blocks in the quilt create their own interesting feature in the design.
