Two very different quilt layouts are illustrated below using the Pinwheel Star quilt block.

The quilt layout featured on the left uses four blocks together to create a larger block. This new block is them framed with corner triangles to make a larger block once again. Colour placement of these corner triangles created the design element in the centre of the quilt.

The quilt layout on the right sets single blocks on point and separates them with sashing strips for an extra chance to add more colour to the block. The blank blocks and side setting triangles offer places to highlight your quilting designs.
