BLOCKS by SIZE 9" Quilt Blocks

There is no question that 12" quilt blocks are the most commonly used. But at times, you want to make a block that is a little smaller and uses easy math. Enter the 9 inch block -- not too big and not too small, but just fits the bill.

Sample Quilt Layouts

The two sample quilt layouts shown below are both designed using an on point setting of the quilt blocks.

The quilt layout illustrated on the left uses large corner triangles in a carefully placed arrangement to enlarge the quilt blocks and add extra pops of colour to the quilt.

The quilt layout featured on the right separates the quilt blocks by sashing strips with cornerstones to add an extra design element. The colourful blank areas allow for some added pizzazz and a spot to showcase your quilting designs.
