BLOCKS by SIZE 9" Quilt Blocks

There is no question that 12" quilt blocks are the most commonly used. But at times, you want to make a block that is a little smaller and uses easy math. Enter the 9 inch block -- not too big and not too small, but just fits the bill.

Sample Quilt Layouts

The two sample quilt layouts illustrated below use standard quilt block settings -- a side by side layout which produces a secondary pattern of pinwheels where the blocks join, as illustrated in the left quilt image.

The quilt layout on the right uses an on point setting with additional, colourful, blank blocks to showcase some quilting designs. Sashing strips add an extra pop of colour to this striking quilt.
