The two quilt layouts shown below using the Noon and Light block make the same block look very different in the finished product.

The quilt layout illustrated on the left sets the blocks side by side, separating them by sashing strips. This is a favourite setting used by many quilters.

The quilt layout featured on the right uses an on point setting of the blocks. Large corner triangles are sewn to each block to enlarge and add that extra splash of colour, when you use careful placement of these large triangles. So many arrangements of these large pieces can create a whole variety of resultant quilts.
