BLOCKS by SIZE 9" Quilt Blocks

There is no question that 12" quilt blocks are the most commonly used. But at times, you want to make a block that is a little smaller and uses easy math. Enter the 9 inch block -- not too big and not too small, but just fits the bill.

Nine Patch Square - Variation

Free Quilt Block Pattern

The Nine Patch Square - Variation quilt block is built on the Nine Patch Square -- a logical assumption. The difference between the two blocks is that the centre in the Variation version has a four patch unit rather than a single square.

In any case, both quilt blocks are effective as evidenced by the illustrated quilts on the next page. No difficult patches to make -- just colour choices can make all the difference in the end result for this easy quilt block.
