I chose to use colours reminiscent of sipping a glass of red wine while enjoying a sunset in California's Napa Valley, for the two quilts illustrated below.

The quilt layout shown on the left sets the blocks side by side for an overall geometric look to this quilt.

The quilt layout featured on the right is a little more adventurous. It uses an on point block setting along with big splashes of colour in the form of blank blocks to showcase your quilting designs. The sashing strips separate the blocks and add an extra design element to the resultant quilt.
