BLOCKS by SIZE 9" Quilt Blocks

There is no question that 12" quilt blocks are the most commonly used. But at times, you want to make a block that is a little smaller and uses easy math. Enter the 9 inch block -- not too big and not too small, but just fits the bill.

Sample Quilt Layouts

The My Fancy quilt block gives you lots of opportunity to experiment with colour for your quilt. I have chosen to make a monochrome look to my designs just for the change.

The quilt layout illustrated on the left sets the blocks side by side for a very busy geometric effect as a secondary pattern emerges.

The quilt layout shown on the right sets the block on point with lots of blank blocks for extra shots of colour. Placement of these blank areas of colour can cause a secondary pattern to emerge as well. (Can you see hearts?)
