Nine Patch Uneven Nine Patch
The Uneven Nine Patch style of quilt block is so named because not all of the nine individual patches are the same size as is the case in a regular nine patch quilt block. This style of quilt block is often used in 10" quilt block to make the math easier, but you will find this construction method in many other quilt blocks as well.

Sample Quilt Layouts

The Mrs. Keller's Nine Patch quilt block is an old favourite of quilters. Depending on your colour choices, you might have to search for the nine patch as here, it is discretly hidden in the block centre (due to fabric choices).

Both of the quilt layouts illustrated below use an on point setting of the blocks. The quilt layout on the left adds extra splashes of colour in the form of blank blocks along the setting triangles along the edges. The quilt layout on the right adds corner triangles to each block, to increase their size and adds sashing strips to give the appearance of peeking through a window at the design.
