What could be easier, math-wise, than a quilt block in a 10 inch size? Surprisingly, the 10" block is not the most commonly used size, (that would be the 12" block), but there are still many quilt blocks that fit into this category and here is my list of currently available patterns.

Sample Quilt Layouts

The two sample quilt layouts shown below feature the Miller's Daughter quilt block in two different diagonal settings of the blocks.

The quilt layout illustrated on the left uses a standard on point block setting, but then replaces some of the pieced blocks with solid coloured plain blocks for an extra pop of colour and a spot to feature a lovely quilting design.

The quilt layout featured on the right utilizes extra colour in a different way by adding large corner triangles to each pieced block. The careful colour placement of these larger triangles adds an additional design element to the quilt.
