The Magnolia block is one of a series of Flower quilt blocks here on Patchwork Square. This seven patch block makes for some lovely and fresh quilts as shown below in the two sample quilt layouts. A side by side quilt block setting, with sashing strips for some extra colour are featured in the quilt layout shown on the left. A diagonal layout of the quilt blocks, as shown on the right, gives a totally different result. All in all, these are lovely springtime designs -- just like those beautiful magnolia trees!
