Lover's Lane

Free Quilt Block Pattern

The Lover's Lane quilt block is a nine patch design featuring half square triangles and an often underused quilt patch (at least in my opinion), called the square in a square.

I chose this colour palette of purples and oranges as I thought it might represent the sky at sunset over a "lover's lane". Subtle stars are there, which would show up later in the night sky. Oh, the romance of it all!
