The Lily Star nine patch quilt block features several quarter square triangles and a square in a square patch for its centre. This Lily Star block is a variation of the common Ohio Star quilt block.

The two sample quilt layouts shown below both use an on point setting of the blocks. By including additional blank blocks of differing colours throughout each quilt, you get two very different results. These two designs are only the beginning of the choices you might make for your own personal quilt layout.
