BLOCKS by SIZE 12" Quilt Blocks

A quilter's favourite - the twelve inch quilt block. These are probably the most commonly used. The measurements divide easily and evenly for quick calculations. Whether the goal is a bed-sized quilt or a cuddle quilt in an afghan size, a 12" quilt block is your go-to choice.

Sample Quilt Layouts

The two quilt layouts shown below for the Jacob's Ladder - Variation quilt block use traditional settings of the blocks.

The quilt layout featured on the left sets the blocks on point and separates them with sashing strips in the same fabric as the quilt background. This makes the blocks appear to "float". This block setting in the overall quilt makes its own geometric shape in the final result.

The quilt layout illustrated on the right sets the blocks side by side. The blank areas formed by the large corner squares in the individual blocks create a perfect place to showcase a lovely quilting design.
