|BLOCKS by SIZE||8" Quilt Blocks|
Eight inch quilt blocks are commonly used in quilts that are made up of one block only and the parts are easily divisible by four. Also, by setting the blocks in different layouts, you can create many different new designs -- sometimes with just a simple rotation of the block. This is not to say that larger or smaller versions of the same quilt block cannot be used in your quilt. Once again, you are the designer.
Jack in the Box
Free Quilt Block Pattern
The Jack in the Box quilt block pattern is an old and well established block. It is easy to construct and features large flying geese units and half square triangles. This is a wonderful four patch quilt block for beginners to get started in this addictive hobby.
The sample quilt layouts illustrated show the quilt blocks laid out either in a straight set, or on point. Note that an additional fabric has been added to the on point setting just to add more interest.
