The Interlocking Chain quilt block is one of several optical illusion quilt blocks featured on this website. The "chain" seems to flip at the outer edges to reveal the "underside" of the fabric as it weaves over the alternate colour scheme.
This seven patch block features only simple shapes -- squares and half square triangles to make the design. Its interest lies in the choice of fabrics to achieve the desired effect.
