The directional nature of the Indian Plume quilt block has a lot to do with the variety of quilt layouts that you can design from this block. Introduce extra colour into your quilt by setting the blocks on point as shown on the quilt design on the left. The extra blank blocks and setting triangles give a totally look to your different quilt. Or, as illustrated in the quilt layout on the right, seconday patterns emerge as you use groupings of four blocks, with 90 degree rotations.
