This Friendship Star quilt block is for the more experienced quilter. This is not a difficult block, but there are just more pieces to work with.

Having said all of that, this eight patch quilt block makes some lovely designs, as is shown in the two sample quilt layouts shown below. This is just the "tip of the iceberg" where creativity comes into play. Your quilt might be made with one of these layouts or perhaps you will be adventurous and create a design of your own.
