|BLOCKS by SIZE||12" Quilt Blocks|
A quilter's favourite - the twelve inch quilt block. These are probably the most commonly used. The measurements divide easily and evenly for quick calculations. Whether the goal is a bed-sized quilt or a cuddle quilt in an afghan size, a 12" quilt block is your go-to choice.
The Formal Frame quilt block is sort of an optical illusion in that it appears that some of the pieces are folded down to reveal the "underside" of a component. This is a similar concept to the Folded Corners quilt block.
Lots of different looks can be achieved in the resultant quilt layout using this block. Both of the quilts illustrated below use an on point layout of the blocks, but give very different looks in the final product.
