BLOCKS by SIZE 9" Quilt Blocks

Sample Quilt Layouts

The Cups and Saucers quilt block is a simple nine patch design, but is a lesson in three different patches -- the half square triangle, flying geese unit and the square in a square patch.

The two sample quilt layouts shown below feature the most commonly used quilt block settings to produce very different quilts. Depending on the look you are going for, or the extra punch of colour you might wish to add, these illustrations may help you decide if these quilt layouts are for you or will you come up with a design of your own?
