BLOCKS by SIZE 12" Quilt Blocks

A quilter's favourite - the twelve inch quilt block. These are probably the most commonly used. The measurements divide easily and evenly for quick calculations. Whether the goal is a bed-sized quilt or a cuddle quilt in an afghan size, a 12" quilt block is your go-to choice.

This Crossed Roads to Oklahoma - Variation quilt block is done using only three colours, rather than the four colour version currently on this website. Each block is technically an eight patch design, but I prefer to sew the block as an uneven nine patch, just because I like things to be easier to sew, and this works better for me.

Although this block seems to be difficult, it is really not -- using only simple patches in its design. With careful stitching of your quarter inch seam allowance, this will go together in no time. You will be using only squares, rectangles, half square triangles and flying geese patches -- all ones you learn when you first start your quiltmaking journey. Enjoy!
