BLOCKS by SIZE 10" Quilt Blocks

What could be easier, math-wise, than a quilt block in a 10 inch size? Surprisingly, the 10" block is not the most commonly used size, (that would be the 12" block), but there are still many quilt blocks that fit into this category and here is my list of currently available patterns.

Sample Quilt Layouts

The Cross Patch quilt block is a wonderful choice for a beginner quiltmaker due to its simplicity. However, these two sample quilt layouts shown below, reflect just how striking even the simplest of blocks can make as a whole quilt.

The quilt layout featured on the left sets full and half blocks on the diagonal. Sashing strips are added for an extra colour pop and to enhance the look of a "plaid" in the final quilt.

The quilt layout illustrated on the right also sets the blocks on point, but includes several blank blocks for the additional design element and a perfect spot to showcase your quilting design.
