The directional nature of the Christmas Basket quilt block lends itself nicely to a whole array of possibilities for different quilt layouts. By rotating the blocks by 90 degree increments and/or placing in groupings of four blocks, unexpected secondary patterns can emerge. (Do you see some stars in the quilt on the left?)
