Nine Patch Uneven Nine Patch
The Uneven Nine Patch style of quilt block is so named because not all of the nine individual patches are the same size as is the case in a regular nine patch quilt block. This style of quilt block is often used in 10" quilt block to make the math easier, but you will find this construction method in many other quilt blocks as well.

Cheyenne

Sample Quilt Layouts

The Cheyenne quilt block is a directional quilt block which allows for a variety of quilt layouts for your final quilt.

The quilt layout illustrated on the left sets the blocks side by side and rotates alternate blocks by 90 degrees, thereby creating a secondary pattern in your design. Blocks are separated with sashing strips for and additional design element.

The quilt layout featured on the right also uses the 90 degree rotations of the blocks in a diagonal setting. The side triangles are in different colours to give an extra splash of colour to the resultant quilt.
