The Candy Basket quilt block is one of the may basket style quilt blocks. The directional nature of the block lends itself to creating all sorts of interesting variations by simple block rotations by 90 degrees. This produces a secondary pattern in your quilt. Both of the quilts shown below use this technique in the final product.
