BLOCKS by SIZE 7.5" Quilt Blocks

Ten inch quilt blocks are a favourite of quilters. However if you are wanting to make a smaller version of any given 10" block, with a little finagling, the math for a 7½ inch block is not that difficult. And -- for the blocks below, I have done that math for you! A win-win!

Baton Rouge Square

Free Quilt Block Pattern

With a name like Baton Rouge Square, well I just had to throw some red into the block. In fact, I made it the background colour.

This five patch quilt block is a simple one to make as it contains only half square triangles and squares. Even though it is technically a five patch design, it is sewn as an uneven nine patch for ease in construction.

This quilt block is also a nice deviation from the regular 12" blocks that are so frequently seen. However, many quilters like the math in the 10" type of quilt blocks.
