The sample quilts illustrated using the Aunt Dinah quilt block are both created using simple and common layouts. Sometimes "simple" is a better choice (in my opinion), when making a scrappy quilt due to all of the different, eye-catching fabrics used. In this case, even though many different fabrics were used, the finished products still "read" as blue.
