Free Quilt Block Pattern

The Party Hats is an easy nine patch design and a fun one to make.

The easy quilt block would be a wonderful choice for a class in quiltmaking, as it introduces you to a patch that is not used a great deal, and often referred to by quilters as -- the three quarter square triangle patch. This patch is made up of a larger half square triangle and two smaller quarter square triangle pieces to make a single unit. All together, this block produces an interesting and fun pinwheel block.
