Free Quilt Block Pattern

The Hobby Horse quilt block is a fun design if you have a quilt for a child in mind.

This seven patch block is comprised of only simple shapes -- squares, rectangles and half square triangles.

You will build the hobby horse in chunks and then construct this block as a nine patch to create this amusing contribution to a quilt. By switching up the colours for the horse you can use up lots of scraps and make this a striking child's quilt, as evidenced on the following page.
