Free Quilt Block Pattern

The quilt layouts shown below both use standard settings of the blocks in order to keep the viewer interested in all of the scrappy loveliness of the resultant quilts.

The quilt layout featured on the left sets the blocks side by side and separates them with sashing strips, complete with an extra little spark of colour in the sashing "cornerstones".

The quilt layout illustrated on the right uses a diagonal (or on point) setting of the blocks and also uses plain sashing strips for separation.

The small borders in each sample quilt continue the "scrappy" effect by utilizing different colours on each of the four sides.
